Thanks for the feedback. This is an older small business user. So protecting the recycle bin will allow me to review what was deleted. Then you just restore all the user files as per the previous day? The user cannot be deleting 1,s of files then says he needs only 5 back Don't think there is any way to protect it but like Justin said it is unlikely users are going to go looking for the recycle bin.

Running snapshots to an NAS could also be a solution. Files deleted from a share don't go to the Recycle Bin, so that wouldn't help you there anyway. Maybe look at file auditing. Exactly this, there is no way to protect the recycle bin on a workstation besides backup and hiding the location.
